Student Conduct

 

Student Code of Conduct :

            An important goal of K.K.I.S is to develop responsible and ethical citizens. The classroom teacher supported by the principle, establishes an atmosphere of mutual respect for classmates, adults and self, to engender an atmosphere conducive to learning. Self-discipline underlies the whole educational structure. It develops self control, character, orderliness and efficiency, it is the key to good conduct and consideration of others.

            K.K.I.S students must adhere to a strict code of conduct that does not tolerate open defiance, abusive language of acts of vandalism. In appropriate conduct will be handled through disciplinary channels according to established guidelines.

 

Absences :

            After a student has been absent, he/she must present a note to the attendance secretary giving name, grade, date, day of absence and reason for the absence. It's the responsibility of the student to arrange to make up the work missed during the absence.

 

Tardiness :

            Students arriving at school after the advisory period has begun should report to the office for an admission slip. This slip ensures that a student will not be counted absent.

 

Early Dismissal :

            Students who must leave school early should advise their teachers. A parental request should be presented to the school office.

 

                        Students are not permitted to leave school grounds at ant time during the school day without a pass from the office. Students who must leave the school because of illness or other approved reason must sign out at the office.

 

                        Upon returning to school from any absence students should report to the office with a proper written excuse from their parents.

 

Withdrawal:

            Parents must send written notification to the school office if a student intends to withdraw from KKIS.
